I’m delighted to introduce a new reviewer here at Dark Side of the Covers – you can call her Jr. Darkside; I call her my sister! Yep; Jr. D is my youngest sister (lots younger! She’s in her early teens) and she’s agreed to start sharing her opinions on YA with you all. The two of us have fun fighting over sharing and arguing about discussing YA lit in “real” life, and I’m excited to bring that discussion to the blog. I’ll still be posting my own reviews of YA titles, but you’ll also be seeing “Jr. Darkside Reviews” popping up periodically, where Jr D brings her own perspective and weighs in with her own opinions. Make her feel welcome – she makes to-die-for chocolate chip cookies. :)

So let’s be frank: I didn’t enjoy this story. I wanted to, but I didn’t, and after my suspension of disbelief got up and left the building, I made it to the final pages through sheer willpower…and chocolate treats at the end of each chapter. Continue reading
